The Enrolled Agent designation is a the most popular and desired
achievement because it is the highest credential awarded by the IRS.
Once you become an Enrolled Agent, you’ll have unlimited practice
rights. This means there are no restrictions on the tax payers you
represent, on the type of tax matters you handle, and IRS offices
you practice before. By becoming an Enrolled Agent, you will have
the most prestigious title sought by all tax professionals.
In order to become an Enrolled agent, you must enroll in the courses
required to gain that designation. CPA Training Center offers a
great selection of courses to help you achieve just that. The
Enrolled Agent classes administered by CPA Training Center will
equip you with the knowledge and confidence you need in order to
pass the exam and be awarded your Enrolled Agent license.
In order for you to enroll in the Enrolled Agent course, you will
need to pass a background check. This ensures that there would be
nothing in your record that could potentially suspend you from
practice before the IRS. You must also apply for enrollment using
the IRS Form 2587. Then, there are two options you can choose from
to complete the licensure requirements.
Option 1: The online examination. This is given in a three-part
online version called the Special Enrollment Examination (SEE).
Each part of the exam contains 100 questions, but you are not
required to take all three parts at once. There is a $101 fee for
each test you take, a total of $303 when you complete the test in
its entirety. If you do not pass each of the exams, you can be
granted a re-take for an additional fee. Each student is allowed
up to four re-takes for each part of the exam. Once you’ve passed
the exam, you will then be awarded th Enrolled Agent designation.
Option 2: IRS Experience. Some students may be able to obtain the
Enrolled Agent designation by past service and experience working
the the IRS. However, only certain jobs and/or positions are allowed
for this option to be considered. The amount of experience is usually
5 years for students to be able to use this option.
After all coursework and other requirements have been fulfilled,
you’ll be granted the Enrolled Agent designation. Please contact
the CPA Training Center to find out more about enrolling for this
course, and to see just how quickly and easily this goal can be
achieved. Today can be the day you’re one step closer to having
the most prestigious license in the business.
