Learn how to help your clients with income tax and retirement planning in 2011!
When the President signed into law the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010 (“2010 Tax Relief Act”) most of us were focused on the extension of tax cuts. There were other new provisions which will have a significant impact on estate tax planning over the next couple of years.
Update yourself with the latest information so you can advise your clients given the current state of the tax law - and new opportunities that may benefit them.
This 90-minute training session reviews a range of practical income tax and retirement planning approaches as you walk through a checklist of tax savings opportunities that you can bring to your clients to potentially reduce their tax burdens this year and going forward.
Learning Objectives
By attending, you and/or your colleagues will learn helpful tips and practical suggestions about:- New estate/gift/GST provisions for 2011 and 2012
- How portability in 2011 and 2012 affects future estate planning
- How the 2010 modified carryover basis rules work and when do they apply
- Cautions about electing into the estate tax or electing into the modified carryover basis rules for estates in 2010
- Short-term and long-term estate planning opportunities that can be taken advantage of over the next two years
There also will be a Q&A session immediately following the presentation!

| About Webcasts / Audio Conferences / Podcasts: |
Webcasts, audio conferences, and podcasts are presentations that you attend via the Internet, phone, or mobile device at a specified date and time for "live" versions, or at your convenience for "recorded" and "On-Demand" versions.
The live versions are interactive, meaning that participants can ask questions in real time, plus are a very cost-effective form of training because 1) you receive fast, convenient learning without any out-of-office time; 2) you can invite as many colleagues as you'd like to listen in on a single phone line; 3) you incur no travel expenses; and 4) you and your colleagues are back at work immediately after the session ends!
And though with recorded versions you do lose the ability to ask questions, you gain the ability to hear the presentation numerous times and to share it with others in your office.
Handout materials and the phone number for live presentations are made available to you prior to the event via email from the presenter and from the "MyAccount" link on the menu bar. Copies of the presentations are included with recorded versions. |
